mill&mia Craft Parties

Committed to creating an environment for children that is inspirational, nurturing, calm & creative, mill&mia is pleased to announce the launch of it’s unique in-store craft party program.

Parties are custom designed to suit each child, and young guests will be taught a craft activity by the brand’s in-house designers followed by a delicious feast. Craft activities are as varied as creating hair accessories, mermaid or pirate mobiles and bird hair clip hangers.

mill&mia parties include:
Lolly Bags, Craft Packs, Themed table decorations, Party Food such as apple juice, popcorn, corn chips, fairy bread, gourmet hot dogs, fresh fruit and home made cup cakes. Cost per child $39.00. Note: Minimum 15, maximum 20 children, birthday cake not provided.

Inclusive in the above price, mill&mia provide custom made invitations featuring the chosen theme, with the child’s name and all party details.

Parties will be held each Sunday for the duration of 1 1/2 hours from 11am - 12.30pm or 1.30pm - 3pm.

mill&mia party packs
For those who would like to hold their child’s birthday at home rather than in-store, we are delighted to offer our take home mill&mia party packs which include: Lolly Bags, Craft Packs, Themed table decorations and Invitations.

All items will be custom designed for your child and craft packs will include instructions and materials required. Cost is $25 per child and party pack themes include space, underwater world, birdies, butterflies and fairies, (postage not included).

Craft classes are held the first Saturday of every month twice a day for different age groups at our flagship store in Hawthorn.

10am - 11am class for 5, 6 & 7 year olds
11.30am - 12.30pm for 8, 9 & 10 year olds.

Craft Class Schedule for 2009

• 5th Septemberr, Create your own wearable pieces of art and learn to make fabulous hair accessories and corsages just in time for the Melbourne Racing Carnival! Using beautiful custom printed textiles and trims from the mill&mia collection and taught by Melissa Chen
• 3rd October, create your own magical aquarium snow dome and fish mobile for your room. Taught by accomplished Melbourne artist Madeleine Griffiths & mill&mia’s Melissa Chen, this class is perfect for crafty boys!
• 7th November, create your own fabulous cards for birthdays, Christmas, Mum & Dad, the list is endless! Using beautiful custom printed papers, textiles and trims from the mill&mia collection and taught by our in-house textile designer Erinn Metcalfe & mill&mia’s Melissa Chen
• 5th December, be part of our fabulous Christmas craft workshop and learn to make your own fabric wreath, festive cards and Christmas decorations that will be treasured for years to come. Using beautiful custom printed papers, textiles and trims from the mill&mia collection and taught by mill&mia’s Melissa Chen

mmill&mia Storytime

Every Friday morning from 9.30am - 10.30am mill&mia’s own Melissa Chen or guest reader entertains children by reading a number of themed books followed by an arts and crafts session. Previous sessios have included; reading monster books and making wearable monster hands and decorating and colouring animals custom designed in-house. All storytimes end with a home made treat! Bookings not required.
